Job Summary: The DOT Compliance Administrator oversees essential DOT compliance processes, including licensing, certifications, and registration management. This role involves daily coordination with internal teams and external agencies to maintain accurate, timely, and compliant operations.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Make daily trips to the county clerk’s office to obtain vehicle or trailer license plates.
  • Monitor and follow up on expired medical cards and commercial driver’s licenses.
  • Maintain and review driver qualification files for accuracy and completeness.
  • Coordinate with branches on citations, toll notices, license plates, and related compliance issues.
  • Adjust weights on International Registration Plan (IRP) cab cards as needed.
  • Process department invoices efficiently and accurately.
  • Periodically add commercial motor vehicles to the Tennessee International Registration Plan (IRP).
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior experience in DOT compliance or related administrative roles preferred.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Word, and IFS systems.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Must possess valid driver’s license.
  • Must pass drug test, fit for duty evaluation and background check.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with FMCSA Regulations.
  • Experience with IFS, Supervision and Telematics systems (e.g., Samsara).
